Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy notice sets out how Care for You Coaching will use your personal information, including how personally identifying information about you is stored, or otherwise used.
We will use information that we collect about you in accordance with:

About us
Care for You Coaching specialises in supporting parents and informal carers through one-to-one and group coaching services.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, we must have a “lawful basis” for collecting and using your personal information. (Personal information refers to the information that identifies you personally. We may also hold other information where we anonymise you – e.g. our Feedback form).

Our lawful bases for collecting your personal information
Our lawful bases for collecting or using personal information as part of being able to deliver our services to you are:
- Consent – we have permission from you after we gave you all the relevant information. All of your data protection rights may apply, except the right to object. To be clear, you do have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
- Contract – we have to collect or use the information so we can enter into or carry out a contract with you. All of your data protection rights may apply except the right to object.
- Legal obligation – we have to collect or use your information so we can comply with the law. All of your data protection rights may apply, except the right to erasure, the right to object and the right to data portability.
How we will process your personal information
We will collect personal information from:
- Our website
- Our session notes
When you agree to become a client by completing our Welcome Pack, enquiry about or pay for our services through our website, we will store key contact information such as your name, email address, postal address, your telephone number. We will also keep a record of your payment details, and the services we provide you.
We will also take brief session notes during our coaching sessions. These notes are treated strictly as confidential in accordance with the Global Code of Ethics for Coaches and Mentors.
We will use this information:
- Where we enter into a contract with you
- To comply with legal obligations
- For session notes, to inform our coaching conversations.
Disclosure of your details to third parties
We do not share your personal information with any third parties. We will not sell your personal information to third parties.
Data retention
Care for You Coaching will only retain your personal data for as long as it is required to demonstrate compliance for audit purposes or to meet legislative requirements. We will keep session note data for 7 years after your final session, as per the requirements of professional insurance.
Keeping your personal information secure
We will ensure your personal information is kept as securely as possible. Names and contact details are stored in password-protected software on a password-protected computer and in password secured, cloud-based applications. Session notes are stored in a locked filing cabinet.
Changes to our privacy policy
If our privacy policy changes we will communicate this to you where we have accurate contact details.
